Mark Ashley



Former prop Mark Ashley is a journalist by trade with more than forty years' experience working in provincial newspapers, magazines and digital. He began his career in Leeds in 1975, and moved to Lancashire to run the then UPN weekly newspapers in the North West in 1990. He also ran his own media company, SMS, for 17 years in Wigan before partially retiring in 2016. A former Vet and member of the Wigan club, he is married to the Leagues' Hon Medical Officer Dr Sara Shackleton.
