Finance:-
Use this Link to see Balance sheet Financial Report
In the previous season, accounts period ending 31/05/2019, Nowirul posted it’s 1st ever deficit, primarily due to £6K being spent on our new website.Last season, accounts period ending 31/05/2020, we have posted a £9K surplus despite the RFU cancelling 50% of their funding. Half of the surplus came from cancellation of the awards dinner & cup finals, both of which are heavily subsidised by Nowirul. The decision to cancel team membership fees for this season & the absence of RFU funding will inevitably result in a deficit, but the committee agree it has proven sensible to cancel fees in the current situation.Greg King - Honorary TreasurerDuring the meeting Craig Hine (Committee) proposed that League Fees for season 21/22 should also be waived. Seconded by Greg King (Committee) - Passed

A.O.B:-
There were no motions presented so Fred Swarbrick opened up the meeting to discussion
Peter Barnett – Mossley Hill raised the matter of the RFU cluster group and what NORWIRUL was doing with regards to them. John Powell went on to explain what the RFU clusters were and that NORWIRUL were looking at trying to match 1st, 2nd & 3rd team fixtures where possible to these clusters, and he said he would look at these once the RFU had confirmed the groups.
Pad Davenport – Sandbach mentioned the Midland leagues. John Powell asked that these clusters be sent to him and he would look at what can be done for NORWIRUL teams in these cluster groups.
Tim Hodson – Wirral asked about clusters and 4th teams, John Powell agreed to include these where possible
Tony Skelton – Hawcoat Park asked about the Cumbrian clubs. He stated they would prefer to travel south rather than north. John Powell thought for this season they would be better sticking to their Cumbria clusters
Peter Barnett – Mossley Hill asked about whether the RFU were going to extend the season in May. He said that this may cause issues with teams who shared grounds with other sports
Phil Jones – Hoylake stated that he hadn’t heard of the RFU clusters and it was explained that Hoylake first team were in the ADM leagues which were not covered by the RFU. Any ADM team that had junior sides with the NOWIRUL would be included where possible
John Powell raised the issue of 2nd teams in RFU leagues being able to join RFU leagues. He stated that there would be strict rules and regulations. Both Warren Atkinson – Fylde and Mike Drew – Stockport were of the opinion that this would not be an advantage to their clubs and would want to stay in NOWIRUL
Presentation of Trophies:- As the trophies for the 19/20 season could not be presented in person, they would be sent out to the clubs
AGM Closed at 20:25
